Ever since Katie Paine has been able to walk, talk and giggle, she has always had a passion for performing. At the age of seven, Katie was the 'Princess' in the production of 'A Dragon For Dinner' at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth. As a child actress, Katie continued to perform in local productions such as 'Annie' and 'Oliver'.

In 2001, at the age of 17, Katie performed as Lead Vocalist in 'Sunday Night Live at the London Palladium'. After training at H.T.S. (Hertfordshire Theatre School) on the Three Year Acting and Musical Theatre course, Katie graduated in June 2007 with a Distinction and award for 'Best Performance' for the part of 'Helena' in the third year show of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' directed by Aly Spiro.

In July 2007, only a month after graduating, Katie started professional work with CMC (Cruising Musicals Consortium) and Chris Moreno Productions and was offered a nine month contract on board the P&O cruise ship, Aurora. On the M.V. Aurora, Katie rehearsed and performed in a total of 17 musical shows, obtaining the majority of lead female roles.
